Since the trash icon was removed today, removing unused parameters has become very time-consuming and problematic. Sometimes only 2-3 of the 30 fields added are being used. So it would be useful to be able to cross out all the parameters that don't have values with one click.

I think the trash button going away was one of the WMDE changes that just went out via config.

thanks for the tag @Esanders and for the additional report @Solidest. We reviewed your feedback and will be implementing T308730: Bold parameter names when they have values (template dialog) to make it easier to quickly find and remove parameters which don't have values in them. You can then look at the sidebar, see the parameters that are check-marked but not bold, and un-check them.

I just want to point out that this is still relevant. Deactivating all unused/empty parameters with one click is a quality of life feature. As at the moment it's not really convenient to click 1by1 every inactive item by scrolling through the list. Especially when you replace infobox and transfer parameters from the old one to another and there are tens of parameters, so you have to make dozens of clicks instead of just one.
