I will play a piano concert at 19:00 UTC, Saturday 21 May 2022, at https://twitch.tv/lucaswerkmeister.
Description
Event Timeline
Maybe, depending on whether I end up playing any copyrighted compositions… I’ll try to take a local recording, at least.
Twitch recording: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1490179646
I also took a local recording, and I think I stayed in public domain territory, so I could upload it to Commons if y’all think it should be there…? (I don’t mind uploading it, I just feel like it might get deleted.)
Lucas, you were playing a funeral march when there was a MediaWiki outage. Did you plan this?! (great concert, thanks!)
Put the recording up here for now: https://tmp.lucaswerkmeister.de/2022-05-21%20Wikimedia%20Hackathon%202022%20concert.mp4 (note, there’s no video for the first 5 seconds, because I cut the video without reenconding it); CC BY 4.0 if anyone wants it
The Florentiner March recording I used is here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Florentiner_March_-_U.S._Air_Force_Band.ogg
Thanks! :-D
From an "educationally useful" standpoint, I see where your fear of getting deleted comes from (though I don't think it's justified), the video part is (beyond documenting the Hackathon itself possibly) not that useful from an educational standpoint. It's about the music after all.
I'm listening now, I'll probably check existing recordings of the tracks you played and extract those (audio only) for which no better quality recording already exists.
