Mobile users have two different Special pages which provide them with configuration options - Special:MobileOptions and Special:Preferences. As we explore bringing Special:Preferences to mobile web we want to understand how we might be able to reduce user confusion.

Special:MobileOptions is accessed via the mobile web side bar, and provides a small number of mobile-specific options, such as font size. It is displayed to both logged-in and logged-out users, so we can't simply import all these settings to Special:Preferences.

Special:Preferences is not currently linked to in the MinervaNeue skin. It can only be used by logged-in users.

• What options do we have for merging these pages?
  • Could we, for example, show MobileOptions items in Special:Preferences for logged in users, so that we could present them with just one preferences link?
