This task is involves the work of revising the behavior of the "Read as wiki page" footer that currently appears "atop" mobile talk pages.
Behavior
- Using the mobile site, visit a talk page where the mobile Usability Improvements are available (e.g. https://patchdemo.wmflabs.org/wikis/916be355b2/wiki/Talk:Frances_Perkins)
- Do any of the following: A) scroll the page, B) expand discussion sections to reveal the comments contained within them, **C) open the Reply Tool
Actual
- ❗️Notice the Reads as wiki page footer appears at the bottom of the screen and remains visible as you interact with the page, distracting you from what you are likely in the midst of trying to do/see
| Empty state | |
| Replying | |
| Reading a discussion | |
| Skimming the page | |
Desired
- ✅ The Read as wiki page link does not appear on-screen until people scroll to the bottom of the page. Said another way: people would not see the Read as wiki page link/footer until they scrolled to the bottom of the talk page.
