Description

CodeMirror 6 is out. It’s a complete rewrite of the library, and upgrading to it will take a fair amount of work (possibly including a switch to a different build system, T288466).

This is mainly just a tracking task to keep this on the radar somewhere. I don’t expect we’ll actually switch to CodeMirror 6 any time soon, and we might not “have to” do it at all.
