Requesting access to Superset for Ricardo Baeza-Yates
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

We've built visualization and dashboards for the Search team that requires access to Superset. This appears to involve setting up a Wikitech account, getting added to the wmf LDAP group, and the analytics-privatedata-users POSIX group (ref: https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Analytics/Data_access#Dashboards_in_Superset_/_Hive_interfaces_(like_Hue)_that_do_access_private_data). SSH access will not be needed for this.

@KFrancis can you confirm an NDA on file for this researcher? Thanks!

@CDanis There is not an NDA on file. Please provide me with Ricardo Baeza-Yates postal address and I will put the agreement together. Please send the information to kfrancis@wikimedia.org. Thanks!

@KFrancis I'm not sure if this will make a difference in your recommendation, however, please be aware that Ricardo has signed a contract with WMF and I expected (perhaps wrongly) that an NDA is signed through that process.

@leila Thank you! I didn't see Ricardo's name on the contractor list at first, but I checked again and it's there. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am confirming the NDA is complete. Please proceed with the access request. Thanks!

@leila I've added Ricardo to the analytics-privatedata-users users group, and the NDA group in LDAP, rather than the WMF, given that we only have Wikimedia employees in the WMF group. The result should be the same though.
