Structured data team what to understand how often "bluelinks" are edited.

  • Wikis: ru, pt, id
  • Only use links in the articles
  • Only look at edits that change bluelinks' destination

The stats on bluelink edits for ruwiki, ptwiki and idwiki are below. I'm happy to discuss those and add more information.

Notes and Comments:

  • Data is from 06/01/2022 - 06/30/2022.
  • It's not possible to know when was the last edit to each blue link in articles.
  • Only count the edits that have not been reverted within 48 hours.
  • Only count edits for bluelinks in the articles.
  • Bluelink edits include changing the destination of bluelinks, inserting bluelinks, and removing bluelinks.
  • Large portion of bluelink edits are inserting new links to articles.
  • Bots make a small portion (~2%) of bluelink edits In ptwiki and idwiki, most of bot edits are making changes to links and removing links. In ruwiki, bot edits are more in inserting links.

Russian Wikipedia:

  • 98,524 edits are bluelink edits.
    • 37,529 links changes, 331,690 links added, and 78,173 links removed.
  • The edits were in 57,979 pages (3.2% of total content pages)
  • 1.1% of blue link edits were made by bots.

Portuguese Wikipedia:

  • 28,149 edits are bluelink edits.
    • 19,224 links changed, 119,559 links added, and 33,472 links removed.
  • The edits were in 20,199 pages (1.8% of total content pages)
  • 1.8% of blue link edits were made by bots.

Indonesian Wikipedia:

  • 20,537 edits are bluelink edits.
    • 10,762 links changes, 74,208 links added, and 23,348 links removed.
  • The edits were in 11,622 pages (1.9% of total content pages)
  • 1.8% of blue link edits were made by bots.
