Empty lateral space causing scrolling difficulty until all images are loaded
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Affects most articles with many images, try the article NS Savannah
  • While scrolling, if not careful, the page is not centered and will scroll / keep sliding right/left
  • Scroll right then down all the way, now the page will be centered as it should, hinting at an image loading issue

What happens?:

My guess since the images don't load right away, something related is causing this behavior

What should have happened instead?:

Article to be centered even if images haven't yet loaded

Related:

Using the table of contents, the app no longer goes to the selected section, but misses it, again I think due to a change in image loading behavior

Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):

6.9.2 on iOS 15.5
