Special Mypage/skin.js redirects to vector-2022.js (incorrectly)
Closed, InvalidPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  1. Choose Vector 2022.
  2. Click on a link: [[Special:Mypage/skin.js]] (same for css).

What happens?:

I'm redirected to [[User:Nux/vector-2022.js]] / [[User:Nux/vector-2022.css]]. I don't think they even work.

What should have happened instead?:

I should be redirected to [[User:Nux/vector.js]] / [[User:Nux/vector.css]].

Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedysta:Nux/vector-2022.js

Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):

See also this page which mentions this way of getting to your skin files:

They do work. I've just confirmed now

What should have happened instead?:

I should be redirected to [[User:Nux/vector.js]] / [[User:Nux/vector.css]].

These are for the Vector (legacy skin), not the Vector 2022 skin so this is working correctly. All skins have unique wiki pages for user Javascript.

Note Vector 2022 currently loads Vector's for backwards compatibility to allow editors time to migrate which is probably creating the conclusion here. See T301212 for more details. It's only intended as a temporary solution.

Hm... OK. I thought old vector would start loading vector-legacy.(css|js)`... But I guess whatever works 🙂
