Why: project would soon reach 10 000 pages, that is considered a very important milestone (similar to Wikipedia reaching 1 million articles; et.wikiquote is the 6th language version to reach so far)

With a decisive spurt, this number could also be achieved already on July 26th or July 27th.
As there is no other big number on sight for several years to come and focus would shift more on quality improvements anyway, then it could also be up for 3 months so that people would have more time to notice it.
