@Ilovemydoodle2: Please always use the bug report form (linked from the top of the task creation page) to create a bug report, and fill in the sections in the template, separately: Steps to reproduce, what you expect to happen, and what happens instead.
Vector skin CSS for span.comment defines font-style: italic and the parentheses are pseudo elements (no text itself).
Flow does not use such pseudo elements.
It does not matter. Please always use the form. It makes it way easier to allow people to understand what's wanted, why something is wanted, where to see something, what's expected, what actually happens, etc etc.
