Indicate that tools are deprecated in search results and in the browsing (mosaic) view
Open, Needs TriagePublicFeature

Description

When searching and browsing for tools on Toolhub, it would be extremely helpful if one could see, at a glance, that a certain tool is deprecated. This applies to both the list of search results, and the grid/mosaic view of tools.

One example where this would be very useful: search for 'reconci' on Toolhub. Various of the resulting tools are deprecated but one needs to click and visit each individual one to become aware of that.

(second and third search result are deprecated tools)

@Sandra_Fauconnier_WMSE do you have any suggestions about how this indication of the deprecation flag being set might look in either location (the autocomplete and/or the card view)? It sounds like a good idea to me, but I'm suffering from a lack of imagination when thinking about how this could be made obvious to most users.

I'm not a UX designer, but I can imagine / think of one simple approach: a differently-colored deprecated tag / chip after the tool name or after its description in a list of search results, or as a line in the card view.

For search I can imagine you'd also allow filtering out deprecated tools in general (e.g. by adding a 'show deprecated tools' filter in addition to the others). As I said, I'm not a UX designer, who could probably come up with better ideas :-)
