Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
- Go to Special:Block for some test user
- Select "partial" for block type
- In the "Pages" text box, enter the same page title twice, once with spaces, and once with underscores (e.g. test page and test_page). Alternatively, enter a page title with a namespace alias, and the same title with the canonical namespace name (e.g. WP:FOO and Wikipedia:FOO).
- Block the user
What happens?:
- The same page is listed in the block log twice (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&logid=135278586).
What should have happened instead?:
- The interface or API (ideally the latter?) should have resolved the two titles to the same underlying page, and only blocked once / listed the block once.
Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia): tested on enwiki
