Some pages in the main namespace are not readable as anonymous in wiki.wikimedia.it
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Preamble

According to the tests listed here: https://wiki.wikimedia.it/wiki/Wikina/Test_vari, any anonymous user should be able to browse pages in the main namespace and see history as well.

Issue

As an example these pages from the main namespace should be visible:

but they are actually not.

If you try to access them without logging-in, the "Authentication required" error is shown.

Actions

Either:

  • the pages should be visible indeed, then the access control should be fixed.
  • these pages are not intended to be readable by everyone, then the test page should be amended of those examples, or

Event Timeline

I've asked to @Laurentius if the documentation is correct and he kindly confirmed that yep, this is a bug.

Just to say that, to put some history pages in whitelist, I tried adding these two entries without success:

$wgWhitelistReadRegexp = [
    ...
    '/^Special:History/',
    '/^Speciale:Cronologia/',
];

But it seems that - even if they are very generic - they have no impact on the visibility of this URL:
