"Permanent link" in the sidebar should be updated when a comment is posted
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When you post a comment on a talk page with DiscussionTools, the "Permanent link" in the sidebar should be updated to reflect the new oldid of the page including the new comment.

Here's the scenario:

  • Someone posted a comment in a talk page
  • I replied, and wanted to get a permanent link to the page (including my comment), so I clicked the "permanent link" in the sidebar
  • However, the permanent link did not include my newly-made comment

I believe the "permanent link" link should reflect the version of the page one is actually viewing, even if it is different from when the page was first loaded.
