Closed, InvalidPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Upload an image on Beta Commons
  • Upload the same image on Live Commons
  • Create a wikistory with some images.
  • Go to the Story:Story_Name page and replace any two images with these images from Beta and Live.
  • View the wikistory

What happens?:

  • Both images are attributed to a single user, even though they were uploaded by two different logged-in users.

What should have happened instead?:

  • Each story should be attributed to their correct users.

Change 830785 had a related patch set uploaded (by Huei Tan; author: Huei Tan):

[mediawiki/extensions/Wikistories@master] Wrong image attribution for the same file on Live and Beta Commons

https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/830785

Mark as invalid for 2 reasons:

  1. same file in 2 different repos by 2 different authors doesn’t make sense;
  2. from tech reason, the file sha1 signature will be the same, therefore return same metadata;

Change 830785 abandoned by Huei Tan:
