Preamble

Before today, the general idea was to host the WLM IT Data Visualization tool completely on Wikimedia Cloud.

Unfortunately, I think it is not possible for WMF Cloud to associate a custom domain to our VPS (a custom domain of our own, for example data.wikilovesmonuments.it).

Proposed change

We will keep the VPS cloud just as backend API server. The frontend webserver will be deployed to a WMIT server.

The proposed server for the frontend is just the intreccio since this is the main server loading most web stuff and since this new web resource is "just" a stateless HTML/JS/CSS webpage <= 1MB and so there are very low risks in hosting it there.

Dedicated low-privileged Unix users will be created for the team with read and write permissions only to that directory.

This is a volunteer activity.
