Agreed with @Volans re: name availability. If Charon is intended as the Greek myth then an alternative from Egypt would be Aqen (there's a couple other names linked from the page). Hope that helps! (slowing turning away from looking at the bike shed at a distance)

This is a noble idea, but very likely also will not work out in the long term. I'm not at all against the project having a codename or attempting to be flexible in its configuration, but if our use cases were commonly aligned with other projects then we would more likely be selecting and configuring an existing IdM product rather than writing our own in the first place.
