More examples of bot detection possibly failing, this time from @Strainu on rowiki:

I recently noticed that the article about a catalan politician, Carles Puigdemont (https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carles_Puigdemont ) is constantlyin the top viewed articles on ro.wp for no good reason.
Someone in the community suggested it might be a bot, since it has the same number of views in multiple languages, from Icelandic to Guarani.

I was wondering if detecting such fake traffic is of interest to the stats team and if you can use this information to fine-tune your algorithms (and implicitly correct the data) :)
