Use case(s) We regularly have debates on Wikidata about whether or not to limit the ability of anonymous users to edit Wikidata. To have those debates in an informed matter it's good to have numbers about how much contributions we actually get from anonymous users. Pre-stats.wikimedia the old system used to provide this information and I found it pretty useful back then.
