Purpose:

Deploying and testing wikifunctions environments for the Abstract Wikipedia team.

Brief description:

Wikifunctions is composed of a Mediawiki extension, WikiLambda, and two related but independent micro-services. We would like to deploy these on kubernetes with helm install and test them with helm test. To do so we will need to deploy/install a small non-production kubernetes cluster (which our team has the expertise to do.) We plan to use Gitlab CI targeted at this cluster to run the deployments and tests. In the future, we may also decide to use a long-running helm deployment in this project as a staging / acceptance environment to complement our deployment on beta cluster. We do not anticipate a need for a higher disk quota.

How soon you are hoping this can be fulfilled:

Sometime in December 2022. We have the first draft of our helm chart running in Minikube and are ready to start exercising it against a "real" cluster.
