Description

At the moment, Growth newsletter is hosted at Mediawiki.org.

MassMessage now supports title translations. The Growth newsletter already covers it.

However, to distribute translated message, the newsletter has to be hosted at Meta.

This tasks documents the need of moving the newsletter there.

Steps

get familiar with the change introduced by T329043
decide if the move should be performed, as MovComms will refine the communication for the Contributors group
make the move if relevant

Trizek-WMF renamed this task from Move Growth newsletter to Meta to Move Growth newsletter from Mediawikiwiki to Metawiki.Mar 28 2023, 12:52 PM

@Trizek-WMF Why did you tag this task MediaWiki-extensions-Translate? As far as I see, this is an on-wiki task and doesn’t require development (apart from T331667).

Good catch: after finding the right task, I forgot to remove it. Sorry.

@Trizek-WMF the child task was resolved, does it mean that this can be closed now?

I wasn't aware that the sub-task was completed, thanks for the ping.

Next steps for this current task are:

get familiar with the change
decide if the move should b performed, as we will refine the communication for the Contributors group
make the move if relevant

We can't close it yet.
