To save a full backup using mariabackup, it would be useful to attach a Cinder volume to clouddb1001/1002. At the moment attaching a volume from Horizon fails because those VMs are running on a hypervisor configured to use only local disks.

This should now be possible -- it seems the config was in place already and all I needed to do was restart libvirt-guest (which caused a small disaster but that's another story).
