Improve existing design of story viewer for desktop to provide a better reading experience on desktop. The new design should be consistent with the existing mobile design, while taking into account the differences between mobile and desktop layouts and the unique needs of desktop users.

I don't really see how the patch accomplishes this goal. It looks more like it's creating a mobile emulator in the center of the screen. Like when running an iphone app on an ipad.
