Over the past few months, the Editing Team has hosted a series of conversations with volunteers from Sub-Saharan Africa to learn about the experiences they've had, and challenges they've faced, contributing to Wikipedia so that we could ensure the work we are doing is useful and impactful.

Throughout these conversations, volunteers have shared a range of challenges they face. And while some of these issues extend beyond the scope of the work the Editing Team is currently doing to prompt people who are adding new content to Wikipedia to accompany said new content with a source, it is important that we understand the issues volunteers face in their totality considering they all relate.

With the above in mind, this task involve the work of creating a diagram to help members of the Editing Team, and other teams within the Foundation's Product Team, visualize the range of issues volunteers from within SSA face contributing to Wikipedia in a system that communicates the relationships/feedback loops between them.

• As a volunteer from SSA who has shared the experiences I've had and challenges I've faced contributing to Wikipedia with Foundation staff, I'd value knowing that I've been heard, so that I continue feeling encouraged to speak up/participate when I am invited to.
• As a member of the Foundation staff who is motivated to increase the likelihood that newcomers and Junior Contributors from groups that have been historically excluded/marginalized within the Movement, I'd value seeing how the range of issues people experience relate to one another so that I can identify opportunity to collaborate with others working in this problem space and ensure the work the team I'm on is doing compliments what others are doing
