I am a member of the Core Organizing Team for this years Wikimania and would like to request access to wikimaniateamwiki. See T243491 for a similar task from the past.

- T243491: Give access to Wikimania Team Wiki
Event Timeline
An account should be created by a sysop of that wiki, not sure how many of those will read phab. Maybe @Jdforrester-PERSONAL or @DerHexer can help out.
I am afraid I don't have any user rights on that wiki. I can log in, but I am not a sysop.
But that is not an active wiki anymore. This one is used for Wikimania planing: https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2023:Wikimania
I assumed that this wiki is not heavily used, but it is always a good idea to learn from the past for the future, so it might still be helpful.
@Asaf could potentially also help out. I got access for WIkimania 2019 but did not use it barely at all, not much of relevance for me still there (only).
@Ameisenigel: Is this still wanted/needed and this task should remain open, or has this been sorted out in the meantime? Thanks.
It was not resolved, but since Wikimania 2023 is already over I do no longer need access. I just want to add that I think that such wikis are quite useless if nobody is able to give access to other users.

That is a public one, while https://wikimaniateam.wikimedia.org/ is supposed to be a private one. Well I am sure that someone would've been able to help with either a maintenance script run or via DB tempering, but indeed it seems like it is a bad situation.
I wonder if it would be possible to give stewards access to private wikis in some way, then such requests might be handled by us through SRM or so
(Though perhaps it would be problematic in case of OC wiki, WMF staff wikis, etc; Perhaps something can be done about this Wikimania wiki specifically though. Of course perfectly it should be a responsibility of WM organisers to pass the access, this is no different from how Arbcoms do pass access one tenure to another well enough)
If the wiki is no longer in use, it should be closed and its main page be updated to prevent similar tasks be filed in the future. In addition any (historical) information not protected by NDA may be exported to the public Wikimania wiki.
The situation is kinda like one would not let the new staff into a store and then claim, that well, no one is in the store, so it should be closed. It does not make any sense. Any current or future Wikimania team should be able to access the wiki. Even if there is literally nothing useful there at the moment they might want to have a private wiki space for organisational purposes rather than rely on Google Docs or whatever else (which is also problematic from privacy perspective).
Does the Wikimania Steering Committee have access to wikimaniateamwiki? If that wiki is still used, could they help with managing access?
I asked one person from the Committee and that person did not even know about the existence of the wiki.
