"This comment was hidden" and "This topic was deleted" messages should link the user
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

minimal examples: https://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/Topic:Xbm9rkr52tr84rpj, https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Topic:Xblss3eypj6i1ih7

The messages "This topic was hidden by 1234qwer1234qwer4" and "This topic was deleted by Clump" show the username as plain text with no links (despite even having a plainlinks class). This is quite inconvenient and does not reflect the behaviour in comments, which link the usernames and add additional "(talk contribs block)" links when hovering over them.

Edit: Same goes for "Summary by 1234qwer1234qwer4" message in the first example.

can anybody tell where can i get the source code for this ?

like which repository i have to look into this ?

@Bleakprestiger Hi and thank you for your interest! Please check thoroughly https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/New_Developers (and all of its communication section!). The page covers how to get started, assigning tasks, task status, how to find a codebase, how to create patches, where to ask general development questions and where to get help with setup problems, and how to ask good questions. Thanks a lot.

@Lectrician1 okay thanks. so as per analysis, there are various classes present in the i8n folder which has the strings

This comment has been deleted

so, for converting them to links what probably we would have to do ?

On further analysis, it seems that we would have to create a new function and return a new Anchor which would return the profile URL.

classes that needs to be linked up with the profile
