The second step of the community feedback about Leveling up designs.
- We ask mentors for their feedback at wikis where mentorship exists.
- We first target mentors for their opinion.
- If they are ready to help (case of our supportive communities), then we would ask them for their help to contact newcomers (mostly helping with translations).
- Feedback is gathered on this task, for project enhancements
Engagement questions are listed in T328356.
Engagement results
Questions were asked to 3 different user profiles:
- Dialogue 1: Easy tasks editors
- Dialogue 2: non-Growth editors
- Dialogue 3: mentors
Here are the main outcomes (listed by at least two users).
Dialogue 1: Easy tasks editors
The post-edit dialogue is perceived as an encouragement.
How difficult are these suggested edits is a recurring question. (Covered by T330543: Leveling up: Second design iteration of "Try a new task" dialog)
Dialogue 2: non-Growth editors
Overall, users who never made a Growth edit think these invites encourage them to do suggested edits. Notifications are also perceived as encouraging.
How difficult are these suggested edits is a recurring question as well.
Dialogue 3: mentors
Overall, mentors are positive about the idea.
Suggestions:
- Having more encouraging post-editing dialogues.
- Giving control of the number of edits or the number of days of tenure would be much appreciated.
- Notifications should be sent both on wiki and by email.
