Amending changes by others is often not appropriate, I suggest you add a code review comment instead.

I chatted with Legoktm on Discord and they said they don't have time to work on the change. I want to fix the issues that are already pointed out in the comments on the change.

Yep, done. The bar for trusted-contributors should be pretty low, just slightly above "not going to vandalize things / be disruptive" IMO.
