Page MenuHomePhabricator

Page title selection is inconsistent depending on whether the menu and ToC are visible or not
Closed, DuplicatePublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Go to an article with no ToC (for example this one). Make sure the menu is also hidden.
  • Try to triple click on the page title to select it.

What happens?:

  • When a page does not have a ToC or the main menu on the left, you have the arrow when hovering the title with the mouse, so you have to left-click, hold and move the cursor to mark the title. Once you do this, the I-beam pointer appears (and then you can also select the title by triple clicking on it).
  • When there is something on the left, like the ToC or the expanded main menu you have the I-beam pointer, so you can just triple-click to mark the whole title.

What should have happened instead?:
It should be possible to select the page title by triple clicking on it, no matter whether the menu or the ToC are visible.
