The Fundraising team envisions a donor portal where the donor has control over their recurring donation. The vision includes the donor's ability to self-serve their subscription, in response to the Creative team's calls to action, to include:
-Chose to upgrade their current amount (as above) select from possible presented alternatives or type in 'other' and specify an amount
-Allow the donor to downgrade their subscription amount to something less if they need to in order to avoid cancellation
-Update their card on file information should it be about to expire or has expired/lost/stolen/replaced.
Note for consideration: In consideration of any of this development work, a clear handshake between Civi and Acoustic is necessary to support how the Creative team pulls data for external comms to donors. Our systems are designed largely for single donation and would have to be upgraded to consider recurring and recurring modifications. Good tracking of historical and recurring records is important. A clear field that makes it clear when someone has an active recurring gift and this field is populated when someone upgrades is needed:
How would we be able to identify who is about to expire?
Who had already upgraded and when?
What fields need to be added in Acoustic or Civi to reflect these new actions within that database. (Is the latest current "native amount" the recurring amount? Do we need new fields to show the new amount?)
