Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

Load https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q31021578
Click "All entered languages" and wait for it to expand
Click "edit" to edit the labels

What happens?:

It takes a very long time for the edit fields to appear. On this computer it takes 99 seconds in Chrome-based browsers and 45 seconds in Firefox.

What should have happened instead?:

It should not take more than a couple of seconds.

I can confirm.
It seems to be much better on the new mobile termbox. Since the medium-term plan is to replace the desktop termbox with that one I think we should spend the time on getting that in shape than optimize the current desktop termbox. One major piece that is still missing before that can happen is the language fallback on the mobile termbox which we are tackling now in support of the mul language code in T330183.
