@aishwaryavardhana has requested public announcements for both Indonesian and Korean Wikipedia (especially to reach non-admins) to recruit interviewees.

@VChang has provided detailed advice on how to go about announcements and other things to note for ko.wikipedia

Update
  • Ryuch/Cheol left minimal comments in Miro on the ko.wiki workflow but hasn’t responded to followup questions
  • I’ve added Ryuch/Cheol, Gu, and Youngjin to our interviewees spreadsheet
  • Outreach message in En to ko.wiki prepared on Meta, and translated to Ko by a volunteer.
  • Ko version posted on Ko wiki.

@aishwaryavardhana do you have any deadline by which the ko.wikipedia community should have wrapped up their discussions about the workflow?

@Quiddity @VChang I am considering limiting this first round of feedback collection from ko.wikipedia community to a local announcement only, since it applies to their community only. I will not be posting on Meta.

Once they are done giving feedback and we update maps, we can proceed to put the improved version on Meta.

Thank you all for working on the translations and announcements.

@STei-WMF no deadline currently! I'll let you know if that changes.

Noted @STei-WMF and @aishwaryavardhana. For Ko outreach, I also posted on the MS forum and will tell people they can also ask questions in Korean there if they want.

  • Some feedback came in from Ko community regarding the workflow. Youngjin brought the topic into discussion at a community event over the weekend and discussed in a group of 8 people (including admins and editors), he shared back some key points through a call with me (please see this note doc).
Update May 10, 2023
  • @RamzyM-WMF translated distribution message for id.wiki and @STei-WMF to distribute on the village up

aishwaryavardhana updated the task description. (Show Details)

@STei-WMF the local reporting workflows are ready to publish on our project page. Here they are and here is the "intro" paragraph that I think can accompany them but please make edits as you see fit!

Hi everyone! We've been conducting research regarding harassment on Indonesian and Korean Wikipedia. This has included in-depth interviews, which are ongoing, and documenting reporting workflows. We shared early drafts of our thinking with both Korean and Indonesian Wikipedia, and incorporated their feedback into the maps you see here. These maps represent, to the best of our knowledge, how community members on both platforms currently report incidents of harassment and abuse.
