Just wanting to note that when we do it there is a custom pre-hook on recurrings we can remove now that this is merged upstream https://lab.civicrm.org/dev/core/-/issues/4000

Also https://github.com/civicrm/civicrm-core/pull/25673 may help with locks - we should keep an eye out
