This is completely and utterly non-understandable to most users. The descriptions of the additional authentication methods give technical explanations of standards and technologies, as if they are the lead for the Wikipedia article.

Compare this to how Github for instance explains their 2FA. These are very functional and communicative descriptions that focus on the physical usage of the methods.
