@EMartin Can you please confirm with Worldline as to whether we support payments from UZ with the currency UZS?

@AKanji-WMF Yes, Ingenico supports UZS as an authorization currency.

@EMartin we are getting a NO_PAYMENT_PRODUCTS_AVAILABLE response from Ingenico when trying to donate in UZS. Is it possible this currency isn't turned on for our account?

There have been two successful donations from UZ since 2022-01-1 and one was in RUB and one in USD.

Just a heads up @krobinson and I were chatting about this one and noticed that Uzbekistan is listed on our Ways to Give page.

We also tested a few other forms linked on the WTG page and noticed that Turkmenistan also does not work. If you attempt to donate you receive the same error as on the Uzbekistan page currently where you receive an error after selecting a card type. When we get a chance if we could also please look at the Turkmenistan form as well? Thanks!

Ingenico cannot support Uzbekistan for us it turns out.

Looping in @Pcoombe here. It seems that we should take these off the country drop down if we cannot support them. It feels like the simplest fix in the short term.

Does that work for everybody? If so, Peter, would you be able to remove them?

I was discussing both Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan with @AnnWF in T326666 and it was suggested that we do support them in local currencies. However I do now get the same error as above. I guess Adyen won't work either?

If it's confirmed that we can't support these, I can remove from Ways to Give, and would also suggest we change the donatewiki forms (Uzebekistan, Turkmenistan) to the not fundraising in your country message since there are no other available payment methods.

@Pcoombe we did have two successful donations from Uzbekistan in 2022 one was in USD and one in RUB though. I don't know how much the effort is worth of looking into other currencies commonly used there vs just removing it

I think based on what you talked about @Pcoombe in T326666: GatewayChooser: No supported gateway for parameters then we should switch the UZ form to show the not fundraising in your country message and remove from Ways to Give.

Okay I removed both Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan from Ways to Give, and set their donatewiki forms to show the not fundraising message.
