Just noting we can embed images using

When we do this it actually puts the image into the body of the email as hex - what we can't do is link to an image on our civi server - as that is inside the firewall.

What I thought @Jsimmonds might have been wanting to do was link to an external image - and I can't see that option in the wysiwig

Just noting the embedded image is working - but gmail doesn't render it in webmail

The fact gmail doesn't render the images rather points to us wanting to stop using the embedding method

Just updating to note that the status is

1. our image embedding works through the UI BUT not all email clients render it
2. it's not very easy to embed a url that is elsewhere on the web - (which also might not be reliably rendered - because email )

Jayme is not going to embed the image now due to unreliability with the client behaviour - @anik do we want to keep digging into making it easier to link to external urls? I feel like there was another phab and / or medium-term request on that
