What does this even mean? You want to see what skin the users from the English Wikipedia use on other wikis?

Methodology

The non-default skin status is pulled from user_properties schema per specific wiki. We also considered global preference, which can overwrite the skin setting on local wiki. The global skin preference is pulled from the global_preferences schema in the centralauth database. Both skin preference and global preference only reflect the status when the data was collected, i.e. on Apr 19, 2023.
Editors are pulled from wmf.mediawiki_history schema. We focus on the non-bot users who had at least 1/5/60 content edits on specific wiki between 2022-04-01 and 2023-03-31. Note: none of the three editor groups here are exactly the same as the active editors group that we measure for product core metrics. The product core metric active editors is defined as the number of registered users who made at least 5 content edits across all projects in the given month. (ref: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Product/Data_glossary). The edits are only counted for specific wiki in this analysis.

Summary

• On English Wikipedia, vector2022 is the default skin. Vector2022 gains less shares among editors who are more active.
  • Among editors who made at least 1 edit annually, 89.93% of them use vector 2022 skin.
  • Among editors who made at least 5 edits annually ,84.59% of them use vector 2022 skin.
  • Among editors who made at least 60 edits annually , 68.77% of them use vector 2022 skin.

• On the wikis where vector is the default skin, vector2022 gains more shares among editors who are more active. One possible reason is that the active editors have more chances to be exposed to the new skin version and switch over.

Notes for the known differences in comparison:

1. The skin stats on 2023-04-19 considered global preference, while the stats on 2023-01-09 did not. But considering global preference won't skew skin stats significantly. (see study at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T327561)
2. The editor groups in comparison are not exactly same. The editors in analysis on 2023-01-19 are pulled with the timeframe between 2022-01-01 and 2022-12-31. The editors in this analysis are pulled with the timeframe between 2022-04-01 and 2023-03-31. We want to include as many editors as possible who are exposed to the new skin in analysis.
