Closed, DuplicatePublicBUG REPORT

Description

The cover page of all files exported by ws-export contains (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Accueil_scribe.png) Accueil_scribe.png image. This image contains a lot of crosses which a Christian religious symbol that is not accepted by other religions, and is never appropriate to be in the forefront of a religious book of other religions.

I hope it replaced with wikisource logo.

This is a sensitive issue in the Arabic world. Especially the traditional books are normally with religious materials, it is not suitable to have other religious symbols on the cover. I think it is better if we add a natural image with no symbols of any kind. Except for the Arabic Wikisource logo.

I believe that it is meant to represent early writing, rather than religion, and with the history of writing and transcription is going to have a religious background in any cultural aspect we find to represent. So maybe just pull it, and stick the WMF logo in its place.

We could use each specific Wikisource's logo (as defined on Wikidata, P154 'logo image'), and fall back to the generic Wikisource-logo.svg where there isn't one. (Although I note that Arabic Wikisource and maybe others have a raster logo so it mightn't look great in ebooks; that can be fixed of course.)

I have updated Arabic WikiSource logo with svg image

Are there any obstacles to change the image?

No, I think everyone agrees that it's a good thing to do, and it's just waiting on someone to do the work.
