Background
The Wikipedia iOS app aims to provide a seamless user experience for users to access and interact with its vast repository of knowledge. One of the key features of the app is the Watchlist, which allows users to keep track of articles they are interested in and receive notifications when changes are made to those articles. To ensure the best possible user experience, it is important to design easily accessible and intuitive entry points for the Watchlist feature. This however will be dependent on the design sprint for general navigation that the designers will have. Based on their conclusions, the entry point designs must be updated.
The Task
Design entry points for the Wikipedia iOS Watchlist feature, ensuring that users can easily access and manage their Watchlist from various locations within the app. The task involves:
- Update designs of the watchlist entry point around the navigation task T335813
- Testing the entry points with real users to validate their effectiveness and gather feedback for improvements.
Requirements
- The entry points should be easily discoverable and accessible from various locations within the app, such as the article view, search results, and user profile.
- The entry points should use clear and intuitive visual cues (e.g., icons, labels) to indicate their purpose and function.
- The design of the entry points should be consistent with the overall app design, as well as the iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
- The entry points should be accessible to users with disabilities, following Apple's Accessibility Guidelines.
- User testing should be conducted to validate the effectiveness of the entry points and gather feedback for improvements.
