Please grant scherukuwada@ access to wikisource.org in the Search Console
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Dear SRE,

I nominally approve and administer access to the Google Search Console. I can do this because I have owner access to wikipedia.org. But I don't have access to wikisource.org. What this would require is:

Someone with owner rights on Google Search Console:

  1. To go to https://search.google.com/search-console
  2. Look at the domain dropdown ("Search Property") and type in "wikisource.org" (not a specific language domain).
  3. Click on "Settings" in the right menu bar.
  4. "Users and Permissions"
  5. Add me as "Owner"

That would be all. This will have the side effect of me not needing to bother you folks for any wikisource acccess requests.

Thank you for your help.

Done! I just added you as owner of wikisource.org as described.

Also confirmed you are author of https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Search_Console_Data&action=history

Please let me know if everything works as expected. Cheers!

Hi @SCherukuwada , there is a volunteer asking for access at T336255. Wondering if you have thoughts on that? It's specifically about wikisource.org which you just became owner of. Would you delegate access to subdomains?

Also at T334409 there is another one from April for a WMF employee but that seems for Wikipedia?. But it seems we need the general T303513 for this process.

I've responded on the ticket with the volunteer. I'll handle it once they get the NDA and C-level approval out of the way.

The other one from WMF staff - I reached out to Nick and talked to him; he doesn't need it any more.
