When using randomizer clicking an article sometimes app reverts to explore mode

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Wikipedia app on Android 12

Using the Randomizer and clicking an article of interest the app sometimes (about 1 in 2 or 3 times) does not show the selected article but reverts back to Explore mode instead. This is very annoying as the article of interest's title is gone and is very hard to retrieve:

Please add a more complete description to this task. That should be

  • a clear and complete list of exact steps to reproduce the situation, step by step, so that nobody needs to guess or interpret how you performed each step,
  • what happens after performing these steps to reproduce,
  • what you expected to happen instead,
  • the software version that you tested.
