Document the responsive version of system components in the Codex Figma library
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Background/Goal

We want Codex users to be able to utilize components that have an embedded responsive behavior. In order to stay consistent, Codex elements should display the same design styles (size, spacing, typography) in their responsive version. Once the responsive properties of components are defined, we'll need to update their spec sheets in the Codex design library to reflect this touch-friendly version.

User stories

As a designer, I need to be able to reuse elements Codex library to compose responsive layouts.

As a Codex code contributor, I need to base the responsive appearance of components on clear design specifications.

Acceptance criteria (or Done)

  • We update the specs of all responsive components in the Figma Codex library to document their touch-friendly version

Moving to In Design since I'm exploring the components' sizes and responsive by creating some prototypes to compare and decide.

Assigning this task to Sarai since she is working in the exploration/definition of the responsive approach.

Making a note of this here, per @bmartinezcalvo's request. As mentioned in the Constructing forms guidelines, the default button size in a footer of a form is Large. This would be true for desktop and mobile platforms.
