Description

While using the Wikipedia app for Android (my device is a Xiaomi Redmi 9 codename 'lancelot', bought in the EU with Android 13, LineageOS 20 with the latest software update as of the day I am posting this, with the Wikipedia App (not beta) with the latest available update as of today downloaded through Google Play Store), if I use the dark theme of the app (either of the ones available, with or without Image dimming, with "Match system theme" checked or not (in the case where my system is in dark theme), either if my system is in dark mode or not) some equations are unreadable with a "white layer" over it. It seems to happen to equations that are inside boxes, but not to regular ones. Here is an example in a page titled "Lorentz Force" with a comparison between dark and white themes:{F37140570}

{F37140571}

I am not knowledgeble with these things, but it seems to be related to some color inversion issue with the green box surrounding the equation, so it inverts the LateX graphical output but not the the box itself.

This could probably be fixed by either making the color inversion algorithm of the app invert the color of the box or making sure the LateX output within the box color is not inverted. Since this issue happens frequently with Wikipedia pages with equations, the effort of manually editing each page to remove the boxes is propably not worth it, though it is an approach.
