[SPIKE] Investigate web-owned legacy schema that can transition to Metrics Platform
Closed, ResolvedPublic1 Estimated Story Points

Description

Context
Web team would like to transition out of legacy schema wherever possible in ahead of upcoming Anonymous Users Preference Persistence Testing Instrumentation and Analysis Epic

UPDATE: Current Metrics Platform plan for adoption of specific existing or new instruments is to work on a per-team basis. Speaking with @NHillard-WMF, Web team is slotted for around 2 quarters from now (FY2023-24 Q3 or Q4). This means it won't coincide with the Pref Persistence Instrumentation which is starting in Q1. Web will have to work on existing instrumentation for now. Next step is to forward the list to Metrics Platform Team to add it to their planning cycle.

Success Criteria

  • Finish a list of legacy web-owned schema
  • Create roadmap to move to Metrics Platform
  • Confirm with team
