This task is setup to ensure support for all activities related to organizing sessions & workshops at Wikimania Hackathon 2023.

Volunteer roles

• Ahead of the event familiarize yourself with the schedule sessions & workshops and their target audience and decide which session you will be interested in coordinating.
• Help with taking notes, introducing the speaker, facilitating, and time checks during a session. We recommend taking notes on an Etherpad and transferring all relevant notes to the session's Phabricator task later. Add your name as a "Session coordinator" for a session in the schedule ( Add Link to Schedule).
• Join the Wikimania Hackathon 2023 Volunteers Telegram channel and attend in person sync at the beginning of each day during the hackathon.

Coordinator roles

• • Encourage volunteers to add their name as a “Session coordinator” in the schedule for a session they are interested in helping with.
  • Help them get set up with a template for notetaking on the Etherpad.
  • Be a point of contact for the volunteer group and lead coordination efforts!
  • Reach out to potential volunteers informing them about their roles and responsibilities and asking them to subscribe to this Phabricator task to stay up to date.
• Invite volunteers to join the Wikimania Hackathon 2023 Volunteers channel on Telegram.
  • Sync up with volunteers of your group at the beginning of each day during the event and provide the necessary support to volunteers & organizers.
  • After the event, ensure no volunteering-related task remains to be resolved on Phabricator. Send a thank you message to volunteers.
