Hi - Eileen and I have talked about this briefly and she mentioned some work would need to be done on the back end for this. This phab task has become two-fold however:
We are currently changing some of the gift coding and are looking to disable Gift Sources = Community Gift and Benefactor Gift as we will no longer be using these options.
1. We'd like to disable Community Gift and Benefactor Gift
However, as someone just pointed out to me Gift Source is a required field. Meaning we'd need to replace them with something else.
- We can do this for all offline gifts entered by Engage and by the operations team, for online gifts though is it possible to have this field register Banner Gift, Email Gift, Portal Gift, etc. (based on the source of the gift?) We'd have to create those options in civi but how feasible is it to do this?
If it makes more sense to talk this through let's do so, Wednesday is a holiday so I won't be at civi fortnightly - but I can be at FR- tech office hours tomorrow?
