[Pattypan intro follow-on task] File upload to Commons

Description

If you attended the Botanical Garden Tour and the Pattypan intro T344043, or have other files you would like to upload to Wikimedia Commons, this is a task where you can practice your new skills :)

  1. If you don't have one already, create a Wikimedia account
  2. Select 5 to 10 images or files you created yourself that you would like to upload to Wikimedia Commons. See this cartoon for an idea what sort of material you can use (copyright-wise).
  3. Install Pattypan (free Java download).
  4. Install the latest version of Java. Pattypan will give you a link upon installation if you do not have Java yet.
  5. Make sure you have Libre Office calc or Microsoft Excel installed.
