At https://la.wikisource.org/wiki/Nicolai_Klimii_iter_subterraneum or https://la.wikisource.org/wiki/Second_Latin_Reading_Book select "epub" for export, for example

What happens?:

After a long pause, the user returns to the page without an exported text on Safari, MacOs
After a long pause the user is returned the error "504 Gateway Time-out" on Chrome, MacOS.

What should have happened instead?:

The book should have exported and downloaded on the device

Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):

Sorry about this!

This may have been an intermittent failure (which are unfortunately relatively frequent). The above works seem to be exporting correctly now. Can you try again?

Thanks, yes they are now exporting correctly - thank you for checking. It did seem to persist for several days as a problem, and I had encountered this also when I tried exports in June, but perhaps I was just unlucky.

It does fail intermittently, yeah. :-( It's basically that the single server is handling all requests, and as they come in. We really should switch to a better queuing system! The task for this is probably T335553.
