It looks like there's lots being loaded via common.js: https://bn.wikisource.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.js — it'd be good to move some of this code to gadgets, if possible.
After recent changes to this page, loading time has improved significantly.
However, it's still lagging. Load https://bn.wikisource.org and https://bn.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=ব্যবহারকারী:আফতাবুজ্জামান/খেলাঘর&oldid=1770750 (This page doesn't have {{উইকিসংকলন:প্রকাশস্থান}}), Now try to scroll up and down. https://bn.wikisource.org feels lagging and https://bn.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=ব্যবহারকারী:আফতাবুজ্জামান/খেলাঘর&oldid=1770750 doesn't.
(My laptop doesn't have much ram, may be that's why I'm noticing it).
Please see the "network" tab of the Developer Tools of your web browser. প্রকাশস্থান মানচিত্র takes a long time to load. Is that really needed on the frontpage?
Also, the call to https://maps.wikimedia.org/geopoint returns 1 MB of JSON data. Please seriously consider removing that map.

As an FYI for all interested, T340705 does point out that bnwikisource has the fifth(!) highest increase (i.e. in addition to the assets used by deployed software) in transferred assets of all Wikimedia wikis. Interface Admins may want to keep an eye on it.
